And April 21 really is the best day to buy vinyl for more than just the obvious reason.
First, many artists and record companies wait till Record Store Day each year to release new vinyl, exclusive vinyl, and all sorts of special promotions.
Even though you can currently get many of these releases on CD or purchase them electronically through iTunes and others, if you’re a true vinyl lover, waiting for it to be released on vinyl is well worth the wait.
The artists don’t only release limited-edition vinyl, but also tend to release new tracks, cover versions, rare songs, and studio cuts.
Some of the biggest releases include the Arctic Monkeys, Cold Play, Bruce Springsteen, and The Clash, but don’t worry those few aren’t the only ones. Yahoo! News reported that there will be some 300 artists releasing new records.
